King's County Blended Bourbon
King's County Blended Bourbon
King's County, East Williamsburg, NY
American Distilling Institute named Kings County Distllery of the year, 2016. Also earned Ascot Awards, American Craft Masters Association, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Whisky Advocate, NY Times, New Yorker and over a hundred other Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
King’s County founded by two college buddies who did not like the flavor profiles of the dominant big brands. They are 80% organic, uses Scottish copper pot stills, open fermentation.
While most producers dilute their bourbon when they make a blend, King’s County only uses mature bourbons, corn whisky and rye malt made in house.
Rarely associated with American distillers, blended whiskey usually calls to mind light-style, crowd-pleasing scotch or Canadian whiskies. While aiming to innovate within that tradition, they set about exploring an American analog to those reliable and versatile spirits. Their Blended Bourbon is a whiskey for nearly every occasion: complex enough for sipping, robust enough for cocktails and highballs, yet approachable enough to accompany a cold beer. With a flavor profile between pot still Irish whiskey and traditional bourbon, this bottle speaks to its New York City roots and looks to the future of American whiskey.
